Inspection Support

See the area before exposing people to it.

Aerial visual access can provide useful context and close-range imagery without making a ladder, scaffold or elevated platform the first step.

The purpose is not to replace the specialist. It is to give the client, contractor, surveyor or other competent professional a clearer visual record from which to plan the appropriate next action.

Clear professional boundary

Reynex provides imagery and visual inspection support. We do not claim to diagnose structural defects or provide engineering, surveying or other regulated professional conclusions unless the relevant suitably qualified specialist is expressly involved.

Typical Applications

Focused on what needs to be seen.

The capture plan is built around the question being asked: the area of interest, the level of detail required and who will review the resulting imagery.

01 · Roofline

Roofs, chimneys and gutters

Overview and detail imagery of visible roof coverings, flashing, chimneys, valleys, drainage routes and other external features.

02 · Elevation

Facades and structures

Visual coverage of external elevations, towers, masonry, cladding, joints and areas that are difficult to view from ground level.

03 · Condition

Before-and-after records

Consistent imagery to document visible condition before work begins, after completion or following a reported event.

04 · Specialist review

Evidence for the right expert

Organised imagery that can be supplied to a roofer, surveyor, engineer, insurer or other competent specialist for interpretation.

Useful Deliverables

Context first. Detail where it matters.

Good inspection support makes the imagery straightforward to review. The exact output is agreed around the site and the intended use.

01
Establishing viewsWide imagery showing location, orientation and the relationship between features.
02
Targeted detailCloser views of agreed areas of interest, subject to safe and lawful operating distance.
03
High-resolution stills or videoCapture format selected around how the client or specialist needs to review the evidence.
04
Organised deliveryA clear set of files or sequences that makes relevant areas easier to locate and compare.
Photogrammetry capture pattern around an industrial asset transitioning into a three-dimensional point-cloud model
Overlapping capture creates structured spatial evidence. Methodical image collection can support point clouds, mesh models and detailed specialist review.
Structured Capture

From individual images to a three-dimensional record.

Where an asset needs more than isolated photographs, a planned sequence of overlapping images can support a photogrammetry workflow. The resulting visual dataset can help create a detailed digital representation for inspection, comparison and technical review.

01Methodical coverage
Capture positions and overlap are planned around the shape, access and areas of interest.
023D reconstruction
Suitable image sets can be processed into point clouds, textured meshes or other structured visual outputs.
03Specialist review
Models can provide context for suitably qualified surveyors, engineers or asset specialists.
Capability boundary: accuracy, measurements and any survey-grade or certified output depend on the capture method, control, processing and required standard. These requirements are delivered with appropriate specialist capability where needed.
How It Works

A focused, safety-led process.

The useful result begins with a defined area of interest and ends with imagery suited to the person who needs to review it.

Step 01

Define the question

Tell us the location, the area of concern and who will use the imagery.

Step 02

Assess feasibility

We review access, airspace, surroundings, hazards, conditions and the required level of detail.

Step 03

Capture methodically

Overview and targeted viewpoints are recorded around the agreed inspection brief.

Step 04

Deliver for review

Imagery is organised and supplied for client or suitably qualified specialist assessment.

What To Expect

Useful evidence, with honest limits.

✓Aerial imagery records visible external condition; it cannot reveal hidden or internal defects.
✓Flight position and proximity remain subject to safe operation, airspace, obstructions, people and site conditions.
✓Weather and light can affect visibility and may require the capture to be rescheduled.
✓If specialist interpretation is required, Reynex can work with the client’s specialist or help coordinate appropriate capability.
